The Quarters penthouse is at the top of the house and was once home to the servants of the house. 

Art work and a paired back style is our nod to this history. Artwork created by Andy shows a twist on portraits of servants and local producers from bee keepers to house maids, Pheasant beaters to butchers and fishermen... 

The twist is that we have then layered this humble textured aesthetic with the ease of great design and elements of pure luxury. 

In true merchant style the materials is well travelled and sees inspiration from local techniques and on site sourced materials along side the Japanese Wabi Sabi ethos, Yakisugi techniques - to mention a few . Onsite craftsmanship of furniture see upcycled features, restored antiques and contemporary classics mixed together. Wall finishes uses local materials in traditional east Yorkshire lap finished with deep textures created in Shou Sugi Ban charred timber treatment. Raw fabrics created in bespoke patterns, waney edged timbers milled from trees from the woodland.....
