  • Chef/Sous Chef

    Are you looking for a great new opportunity?

    HIGHFIELD is a grand country house hotel and restaurant with plans to grow into a regional and national destination. We are one year old and to date have won awards for our hotel... we are now upgrading our 5* kitchen and restaurant to achieve rosette standards, and are looking for creative aspirational chefs to join us. The company is a large team of fantastic professionals We are owned and run by Andy & Lindsey Lampard and as family business we care greatly for all our employees.

    Chef / Sous Chef.

    A full time permanent position. Regular shift pattern 4 days a week in winter, 5 days a week in summer. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner shift rotation. Opportunities for career and salary growth. Opportunities for learning and professional development working along side kitchen team with extensive Michelin star experience. Creative opportunities working with Head Chef to create and develop exciting new seasonal dishes using the very best in local produce along side produce from our kitchen gardens.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: £28,000.00 – £32,000.00 per year

    Hours: 4 - 5 day week including weekends.

    Grounds Keeper & Maintenance

    3 MONTH FULL TIME CONTRACT

    A willing and versatile person is required while the head groundsman recovers from an operation. You will be required to take responsibility for mowing approx 5 acres of lawns, trimming border shrubs and hedges, creation & maintenance of woodland pathways, weeding flower borders, and assisting with the kitchen garden. There will be additional tasks such as composting, cardboard and other waste management. Prior experience with use of machinery such as ride on and hand mowers, trimmers, strimmer and chainsaw required. We have new quality equipment so own machinery and tools are not required. Relevant training/qualifications an advantage. In addition to these regular outside tasks the applicant will also be required to help with various Adcock tasks inside - e.g. helping to move furniture, boxes & kegs.

    Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

    Contract length: 3 months

    Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

    Kitchen Porter

    We are looking for a new member for our team - Our Kitchen Porter responsibilities include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas, receiving and stowing deliveries and occasionally helping with food prep work. If you think you'll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we'd like to meet you.

    Job Types: Part Time, Permanent

    Salary: £10,500 - £11,500 per annum

    Hours: 20hr contract - typical rota of 5 -10pm Thursday - Sunday
