Historic Hotel
Another great thing about Yorkshire weekend escapes is the history surrounding the area. The county itself has survived various Viking attacks, which only grew more violent through the 8th century and the oppressive rule of the Roman Empire
It should come as no surprise that our Yorkshire hotel, Highfield House, also has a vast history. Starting as a mill which was destroyed in 1860, Highfield’s second owner, Harrison, commissioned a Victorian architect to expand the building in a gothic yet Victorian architectural style. We have since carried out renovations to upkeep the luxurious character and design.
