SPRING GIN FLING - Hooting Owl Gin Tasting.
The Highfield House is delighted to announce our first collaborative event with Hooting Owl Distillery. Established in 2018, Hooting Owl have been honouring traditional methods with their own innovation and fine development.
Join us for a evening of tasting the most delicious gins… you will be guided through five hand crafted gins, taught to garnish each of them perfectly and along side taste food paired, mixed and inspired by each one - with a tapas style dishes created especially by the HIGHFIELD kitchen.
ABOUT THE GIN
Making good use of the extensive old stable building at Barmby Moor House, Hooting Owl is home to a fully equipped craft distillery, expertly distilling a range of traditional dry gins and other premium craft spirits combining a carefully researched and selected blend of botanicals. Inspired by the story of the house itself and by the geography, culinary heritage and abundant produce of Yorkshire, Hooting Owl also adds a hint of family and military history to the mix.
The Hooting Owl Distillery is based in the historic village of Barmby Moor at the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds. They take inspiration and flavours from around the Yorkshire region to create a top-quality range of hand-crafted, small batch spirits. They can produce about 1000 bottles a day if they really push themselves, but they try not to because they label everything by hand. The reason they do that is because they make 137 different gins. they make eight rums, two vodkas, a Couple of ‘bourbons’ and the Brandy! So they are very busy and because they’ve got different shape bottles, different shape labels, they have got to label everything by hand.

Tickets include access to the Hotel & Lunar Club for the duration of the event. Tapsa bites and tasting drinks all included in this ticket price. All tickets include VAT and booking fees. All tickets are e-tickets. No physical tickets will be issued unless requested as Gift Card purchase (Please see below).

PARKING, OVERNIGHT PARKING & TAXIS:
Parking is available in our woodland parking. Cars may be left overnight for a maximum of 24 hours or the period of your stay. All vehicles left overnight must be registered at reception. Our front desk can help with taxis, however as we are in a rural area we do recommend prior booking.
