ANDY & LINDSEY LAMPARD
Highfield’s owners Lindsey and Andy Lampard are successful design consultants, having worked on iconic buildings around the world, including boutique & 5 star hotels in Barcelona, Moscow, Mumbai and Dubai, private residences in London, Kenya, Doha, and the Caribean, and some of the countries most popular
Restaurants, Live music venues and Members Clubs.
Having moved to London to find work when they graduated, they had become very much part of the city scene, right down to their always-on, hectic lifestyle; surrogate urban family and pokey one-bedroom flat in Peckham.
The couple met at work, in one of the most renowned London design houses, United Designers, deciding to get married after collaborating professionally for years, becoming friends and then discovering that their compatibility extended beyond a similar taste in furnishings. They set up their own design house, Zopsigog, in 2010.
After growing increasingly successful and with now an international client base they realised that a dream to combine their love for the countryside along with continuing their business could be achieved.
Following a dream to have the very best for their new family and to bring their unique style of design to the North, sees them as no less than revolutionary custodians of wonderful property now know as Highfield...
What happens next is set to continue to be quite extraordinary...
- THE HIGHFIELD FAMILY -
THE GENERATION GAME
It is truly family affair - Thee house and grounds are managed very closely between Andy, Lindsey and his Parents Stan and Phyllis, they all muck in and play to their strengths each with their individual roles,to play and each absolutely imperative in creating and maintaining such an experience in such a place.
“Our families have always been absolute grafters and we’re the same,” said Andy.
The renovation to date has taken two years and we have plans to continue with so much more...
they have had parents, grand parents, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters all helping out ,
and remarkably they are all as keen and excited by the house as ever.
“After we moved in, my mum and dad came here for a holiday and never left! They’re just as passionate about the place as we are,” he added.
Working hard to ensure Highfield maintains its place at the heart of the community of Driffield and surrounding area has now become Phyl’s particular passion in life . “My mum has really delved into the history of the place,” said Andy.
“She’s passionate about it and has also set up a group called ‘Friends of Highfield’, to encourage people to keep involved with the property and follow our journey as we develop it into the future.”
"The renovation and operation of this incredible dream has seen a fabulous team of our family and surrogate family come together,
Highfield is now more than just our home, it's a place for so many more to experience and never forget " said Lindsey
With years of experience in various areas of hospitality the Lampards know how to provide the space for incredible experiences and they certainly know how to throw a great party themselves...
- THE HIGHFIELD HISTORY -
Highfield’s history began two centuries ago as a windmill, surrounded by 38 acres of grounds that spread from Driffield and across the Wolds. It was then transformed into a ‘modest gentleman’s residence’ by a wealthy local manufacturer in the last 1800s, who created the fabric of the house as we know it today. Various owners then followed and most recently, sadly, the challenges of maintaining such an imposing property led to some of its beauty and elegance being lost.
Husband-and-wife team Andy and Lindsey Lampard then fell in love with the place after visiting in at Christmas, 2014...
